Chicago Bears Football Jersey Gsh

What does the "GSH" on the Chicago Bears football jersey stand for?
GSH = George S. Halas
George Halas was not only just the famous coach of the Chicago Bears, he was the founder of the Bears. The Bears began as the Decatur Staleys, and Halad moved them to Chicago, where they became the legend we know them as now.
Halas was also a founder of the American Professional Football Association, which we now know of as the NFL (renamed National Football League in 1922). Halas navigated the NFL through 2 mergers with rival leagues and made television deals.
He was also a proponent of the common college draft - and as Bears fans know, Chicago works the draft like magic...
He died in 1983 (sparking a nasty court fight over his inheritance, and in particular shares in the Bears), and had owned the Chicago Bears for 63 years and coach for 40. Overall, I think he earned the naming of Halas Hall (Bears headquarters) and the GSH that all Bears and Bears fans wear proudly!
